Technology
Advanced Manufacturing for Consistent Quality
At SBP Composites, technology is the foundation of everything we produce. Our panels are manufactured using state-of-the-art extrusion lines, precision casting systems, and automated quality control — ensuring every panel meets the exacting standards our customers depend on.
Extrusion Technology
Our continuous extrusion lines produce polycarbonate, PVC, and acrylic panels with exceptional dimensional consistency. The extrusion process allows us to control thickness, density, surface finish, and optical properties with precision at industrial scale. Advanced co-extrusion capabilities enable us to integrate UV-protection layers, surface treatments, and multi-layer structures directly during production.
Cell Casting
Our cast acrylic (PMMA Colada) panels are produced using cell-casting technology, where liquid monomer is polymerized between glass plates. This process produces panels with superior optical clarity, molecular uniformity, and stress-craze resistance compared to extruded alternatives.
Quality Control
Quality assurance is built into every stage of our production process. High-resolution cameras and optical sensors continuously monitor thickness, surface quality, and dimensional accuracy in real time. Every production batch is tested for mechanical properties, optical performance, and fire classification compliance.
Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001, and our products are tested and certified against international standards including EN 13501-1 (fire classification), ASTM (mechanical properties), and CE marking requirements.
Certifications
Our panels carry certifications recognized worldwide: ISO 9001 quality management, CE marking for European markets, FDA approval for food-contact applications (select PMMA products), REACH and RoHS compliance for environmental safety, and ASTM compliance for mechanical performance standards.
Research & Development
We invest continuously in R&D to develop new material formulations, surface finishes, and panel configurations. Our technical team works closely with architects, engineers, and fabricators to develop application-specific solutions that push the boundaries of what rigid panels can achieve.
